Shotscope NX is the industry’s only integrated process and production monitoring system that provides a wealth of "at a glance" information to help manufacturers control processes and improve productivity while minimizing scrap and downtime.

Real-time monitoring and analysis
Shotscope NX acquires data for each cycle on every machine. The system compares and analyzes shots against a job’s process limits by using historical analysis capability and provides real-time and historical measurements of machine, yield, cycle efficiency and OEE. The production manager screen displays machine status using color-coded plant floor layouts and continuously monitors process variables such as hydraulic pressure, cavity pressure, temperature and screw position/velocity. When process limits are violated, Shotscope NX can activate alarms, stack lights and divert parts.

Time saving Process Analyzer
The Shotscope NX Process Analyzer allows for a quicker job set-up. Job reference profiles are stored and recalled when jobs are re-run. Shotscope NX will overlay reference profiles with those from new jobs for easy machine adjustments. The Process Analyzer also troubleshoots by detecting common problems before they become serious issues.

Intelligent SPC tool
Shotscope NX provides statistical process control (SPC) capabilities. The system collects all of the shot variables from every cycle and retrieves them for later analysis using run charts, histograms, X-bars, R charts and scatter diagrams. Run charts permit the review of process parameters and part attributes for up to 100,000 shots on one chart. Scatter diagrams are used to relate process variables to physical part measurements for the purpose of establishing process limits. To determine interaction, users can simultaneously display and compare up to 4 parameters shot-by-shot.

Flexible production reporting
Shotscope NX simplifies reporting and expedites information flow via standard graphical and tabular reports, allowing data to be analyzed by user, tool, material, scrap and downtime. Shotscope NX is able to exchange information with other plant management systems (MRP and ERP) and enables users to configure, analyze and report information to support the unique requirements of different organizations. The system’s remote log-in capability allows multiple plants to be monitored from a single location. In addition, you can use Microsoft® Excel® or Access® to directly connect to the Shotscope NX database.

Efficient job scheduling
Shotscope NX allows jobs to be scheduled using a simple drag-and-drop Gantt chart. Color codes indicate the status of each job. Tools, machines and materials unique to each job are stored as templates, which can be used for subsequent runs. Schedulers can move jobs from one machine to another or download jobs from MRP or ERP systems. The Gantt chart displays both the production and the maintenance schedule for each machine. The system uses historical efficiency information to automatically suggest the best machine to run the selected job.

User-friendly operating system
Shotscope NX is a web based application that runs on Microsoft Windows® operating systems. The system uses Microsoft SQL® server database for all data storage. Simplified user interface (Operator Station) software allows jobs to be easily started. Users can enter scrap and downtime and monitor key parameters as parts are being made. In addition to being compatible on Husky and non-Husky machines, the system is flexible enough to measure a variety of parameters.
