Husky hot runner systems are built with robust designs that are able to maintain optimal efficiency, even in the most difficult manufacturing environments. They are easy to start-up and have simplified maintenance, with replaceable heaters for maximum uptime. All Ultra nozzles feature UltraSeal, which prevents leakage at start-up, even if the hot runner is not at the proper operating temperature. To maximize uptime, Husky’s design team looks at all aspects of each specific application. Standard design practices include optimized melt channel sizing calculations, nozzle expansion calculations, thermal management and optimal tip selection. We also work with a wide variety of commodity and engineered resins. For demanding applications that require more detailed analysis, Husky offers Flow Simulation.

The Altanium controller platform offers temperature control solutions from one to 256 zones. Altanium uses Active Reasoning Technology (ART), which is an improved algorithm that adjusts the temperature control depending on the operating environment, keeping the tip temperature closer to set point in comparison to a PID2 controller.
