Consumer Electronics - Hot Runners

Husky is one of a select few companies with the global manufacturing capabilities needed to support international manufacturing of large tooling projects. Combining Husky’s global reach with the industry's most competitive delivery times allows us to accommodate the short life cycles common to consumer electronics. Our hot runners are designed to withstand the high pressures and provide the consistent temperatures that are required for the most demanding consumer electronics applications.

Tooling Standardization

Husky has the ability to provide tooling standardization by managing complete global customer tooling programs. We can provide machine, hot runner and controller system integration tailored to each customer’s specific application – supported by service contracts, spare parts and engineering services. This is maintained by global technical service that is provided by Husky personnel, unmatched spare parts availability and engineering consultation services. We offer the advantage of one-stop shopping for tooling solutions, ultimately establishing a better understanding of the entire part manufacturing process, ensuring smoother integration.

Parts First Approach

Husky offers a parts first approach supported by the utilization of software tools that have been specifically developed by Husky engineers for injection molding applications. We offer our customers resin recommendation and testing, flow simulation, general consultation on tooling design – involving Husky in these preliminary stages means that products will be brought to market faster and more effectively.

Lower Part Cost

Husky has developed industry-leading gating technology to help molders reduce material usage resulting in lower parts costs and cycle times. Our hot runners maintain high productivity, offer simplified maintenance and a leakproof guarantee promoting faster cycles and increased uptime. Process consistency, precise temperature control and consistent thermal profiles on nozzles and manifolds ensure superior quality parts – resulting in lower scrap rates and reduced secondary operations.

High Pressure Technology

Husky Ultra nozzles have high pressure capability – up to 40,000 psi (2,700 bar) – essential to achieving the increasingly thinner walls and higher outputs required for telecommunications applications. Our hot runner designs include robust solutions at all critical points, nozzle tips are engineered to reduce wear on the cavity interface and contoured manifold pockets with integrated pillars reduce plate deflection to prolong mold life.

Extensive Customer Support

Our dedicated global consumer electronics team supports customers on multiple levels from design through to easy start-up. Our locally-based service and sales network is accessible for 24/7 spare parts and technical support.
