Course Descriptions

Maintenance  (4 days) - This course provides maintenance instruction for the injection molding machine in the following areas: Safety (for mold and machine), Prevention (of problems through scheduled maintenance procedures), Correction (of problems through diagnostic tests and repair), Calibration (of new components). The course is delivered using interactive multimedia presentations plus "hands on" exercises using a machine in our training lab

Operator  (4 days) - This course provides operation and setup instruction for the Husky injection molding machine in the following areas: Components (description/operation of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components), Safety (for mold and machine), Operator Interface Screens (description and navigation), (HMI) Control Buttons (description and operation), Setup (of mold and machine operating parameters), Startup and Shutdown (of molding process). The course is delivered using interactive multimedia presentations plus "hands on" exercises using a machine in our training lab

Process (PET Preform Molding) (4 days) - The course is designed to provide you with an in-depth knowledge about PET Characteristics with a strong emphasis on processing and system optimization. The objective is to help you understand the inter-relationship between resin characteristics, processing conditions and product quality. Structured methods are laid out to optimize both the dry cycle as well as the processing sequences. A thorough review of PET resin characteristics, the drying process, auxiliary services, extrusion principles, injection set-up guidelines, optimization opportunities, and system tuning for acetaldehyde (AA) reduction is provided. Several hands-on lab sessions with a preform molding system permit the students to become familiar and comfortable with optimizing machine motions, controls signaling, and profiling the process parameters for optimum quality. A troubleshooting session is also provided, where common preform defects are demonstrated, explained, and corrected through practical workshops.
